Telstra day pass not being honoured

Seems odd. Was that a regular Telstra “post paid” plan?

Yep. It may have been an anomaly, but I think it's got something to do with the changes introduced in April. As I say, it's awhile before I have the opportunity to test it again. If it turns out that I need to pay $10 a day just to receive text messages and allow my phone to ring, it'll be goodbye Telstra, given the plethora of other options out there.

I'm in NZ right now on a Telstra plan with no roaming activated, and I can still receive SMS.

Technically, it’s $5 a day in NZ, but I would still expect a Telstra mobile to roam for free anywhere Telstra has an agreement with a local Telco.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on Telstra (and a corporate plan at that), so can’t comment on any setup/config issues.

Last week in Singapore it worked. Your phone has an error of some sort, there has been no change.
