Testing Double zip compression bags.

I only ever do online for that sort of stuff - I've better things to do than go out in the heat and go from shop to shop.

I was previously using a link that someone else had given but that still says they were out of stock but if you google it again you can find them.

At this stage I'm looking for more packing cubes rather than vacuum bags because I'm going to moving around a bit soon

Online both are $10 - I dont know why one image is 10 times the size of the other - online they were both the same size !!

Were these from the Woolworths website - are you able to add links please? TIA

The only ones I bought off Catch I ended up throwing away because the zips just didn't work - you get what you pay for

I can recommend the Sea to Summit lightweight packing cubes with mesh (see-through) tops. I have used them for years, packed very full, and the zips are still fine. Mesh still intact and no problems with seams splitting.

Construction seems very good, my first bag attempt was over stuffed but the zippers and sewing held up well. Im going to leave the bags full for a week or so to see if if they strain the sewing/thread.

Next week Im also going to compare them to vacuum bags, especially the polartec.

Im honestly not 100% sold yet so stay tuned till next week (I really want to test the sewing/thread). Aso wondering if splitting the bag with 1 piece of polartec and tshirts/thermals would be better (will try next week).

I literally made an account just so I can reply. Now that it's been almost a year, how did you find the Qubix? They've launched Qubix 2, would you recommend it (the whole set is approx $125AUD) or not based on your personal experience?

To be honest, no, I would stick to the vacumm bags but Im going to revisit the bags in a couple of weeks and try again.

would you recommend it
I probably mentioned it in this thread previously, but I backed a similar product called Vasco. It consists of only one zip, not two, but I find they work well enough for me. I've even bought a second set (about 9 different sized/function bags) more recently to be split into christmas presents.
