I dare not send a recognise staff email as they might tell him off for making coffee!! Mind you he knows what you drink, he's only asked me twice what drink, then asked same again since! I like this man!

I hope that QF start to recognise staff who do go that extra mile. it would be nice to think that this sort of attitude will be encouraged.

In retrospect he'll probably get a written warning for displaying customer service skills! :shock:

I wasn't going to start a new thread but....

Sitting in the MEL J lounge at 2:30pm and the barman is quite happily making barista coffee for people who ask... This man deserves a medal!!! Is it sign of things to come????

seems to me QF has employed quite a few "rogue" employees of late.....lol

But in all seriousness.... a little initiative goes a long way, unless of course, the new contracts don't pay them to think!

I'll add to the above..

Just got of QF777 to PER, and the crew were fabulous.. Really impressed..

I left my iPad on the plane and I received a call from QF as I was in the cab telling me I'd left it behind! Doh!! Was so happy as I would have noticed tomorrow!! Lol!!

Hats of to QF!!

What other choice do they have? The recycled dish water coffee coloured liquid that issues forth from the "Coffee Machine" is not even close to coffee. The Pancakes, however, are delicious.

The barman in the SYD business lounge is great. As soon as he sees me he grabs a glass and says "Pure Blonde, sir?".
