New Prime Minister!

Last prime minister is 4 days shy of getting a prime ministerial pension.

Two former PM's will be drinking a glass or 2 of red wine tonight.

We don't know that yet.

It's already bad enough that terms are only three years; that gives almost no chance for any visionary planning and execution. Everything is way too short term and covering one's backside.

Make it a yearly affair and we'll have nothing but election advertising all year around. I'd rather be castrated.

No sorrow here, but at least we now all realise we don't elect PMs and never have.

That's only AFF members, right? Non-AFF members, including politicians, are fair game?

<redacted post>
I always thought of him as just another privileged kid relying on and doing favors for the old boys network to get anywhere.

Re: The totally off-topic thread

I see that not only has Richard Branson thrown his support behind Turnbull, but Abbott's 2 year anniversary was to be this Friday, and because he's fallen short, he now loses his PM pension... haha!

I didn't know that was the rule. I thought we would have had to foot that bill irrespective.laugh>

Will still get a pension, just not as large as it would have been.
He came into parliament in the good old days
