Your rules didn’t say it had to be on the ground :p

I would say item found as the helicopter is at the airport, it is just not on the ground.

#13: A helicopter at an airport

I am pleased to present this photo taken today at CBR AP Open Day.

I didn't see it land but it was there. Here it is shown flying over an old RAAF aircraft.

If accepted this will be the last find I can present. :)
(And the first [of a possible two] person to have more than three finds accepted.)

Very well - passes!

Congratulations Hvr, you are the first of the only two people in this competition to find four items. Now you really can't find anything else :) Well done:!:

Oh I didn’t know we were allowed to find a 4th…

Anyway, looks like we might not find all the items before the conclusion of the challenge, and here I was thinking we might. So perhaps the next challenge should be easier :p or have less items if we’re limited per person.

The 4th was only granted to Hvr and kiwitripper64 because I didn't track a find properly (they found the same item without me saying one was good first, so to be fair I let them share the find and give them one spare find).

The next competition may raise the limit per person; the idea with having the limit in the first place was to make sure that only 3-4 people were completing the list. I thought 3 per person would have been a good balance....

I think the main problem was getting people to actually participate unfortunately. Though when the easy ones are gone it is harder to get in on the action.

All true.

That is why I didn't know how it would all go. To be honest, I was kinda expecting people would not pay attention to it at all, and it would die in a few posts. That low expectation has now been debunked, but it seems we've hit the stalling point now.

Perhaps I should consider lifting the rule about limits on finds per person after a set date (kinda like those security-hacking competitions where they progressively introduce more backdoors until someone cracks the system).

Getting people to actually participate is almost impossible and unenforceable. Stickying it wouldn't help; getting a seal of approval from admin wouldn't help and you can't "force" people onto it.

In any case, I hope those who did participate (so far) have had some fun or enjoyment out of this. I have had at least two personally delivered positive reports, so although I'm sure the flak is being held back, I'm at ease.

Of course. I have enjoyed it though and would be quite happy to do another one when this one ends, especially as my flying will start to pick up soon :)

Technically there are a lot more members in the Star Alliance than given by that check-in board. So I'm hesitant to give that one to you.

Anyone challenge my decision?

Was this ever decided? I *may* have a photo on my phone showing a sign with 26 members (If I counted correctly) and will happily pass it onto anyone if required,

No one challenged, so if you have a better one, feel free to offer it to someone for a find.

The challenge is getting pretty stale, so I am thinking of lifting the rule of limits on finds per person just to see how quickly we can close up.

I thought this challenge was dead - have been sitting on #25 for some time now.

However this was taken on Easter Saturday, so I assumed it was ineligible.

I actually took another one during the challenge period, but the flight numbers are washed out and I didn't get the flight times to verify that they were actually all on codeshare - they were, but I had a feeling my saying so wouldn't have passed muster. ;)

[Edit] If it were not obvious - these were taken in Melbourne on 3/4 and I can't date the first one.

I could add two this afternoon, and should be able to get at least another two-four this weekend. The joys of travelling!

Either of those would pass; first one is easier to read the four flight numbers. Done!

Any chance of another scavenger hunt?

I enjoyed this one and with some international flying coming up plus a quick trip to ADL this weekend ;) there may be a couple I could obtain.

Unless anat0l has another list prepared, it might be a bit tricky to start another one in time. But I am all for it :)
