The BSI Aircraft Tracking thread!

I wonder if they had some of those rather appealing race week figureheads aboard the BSI's

No idea, I am still trying to find where Jeeves left my Maxi, I was rather happy to get a LTA aircraft so I could watch Marcos Ambrose go around 500 times instead :D.

Anyone know if a BSI plane will be on DJ973 SYD-BNE tonight. I'm on a PE reward and first time in PE so would be great to experience the new seats. It shows as a 737-800 in the mobile booking engine although I forgot to try and figure it out when I did OLCI.

Hi guys,

Anyone know BSI movements out of MEL for Friday evening? I have a flex return to Sydney and am looking to exercise one of my free upgrades on a shiny new BSI aircraft if possible...

Cheers!

Since end of sept the BSI are on the transcon routes, to service the J class offering. Doesn't mean you'll never see them on the SYD-BNE-MEL routes but if they are it will be part of the positioning for a transcon run.

. If you want BSI you'll have to be flying to WA to get it and if you want to sit in the new J seats you'll have to buy a J fare, for the time being anyway. No more PE fares getting you a J seat....:-|

You can get a J seat for PE fares ;)

Well fwiw I moved to the 19:45 which shows 4 seats per row in PE (rather than 6 seats with 2 blocked) wwhich I though was indicative of a BSI aircraft? If not I'll hold off on exercising the upgrade...

What row is the exit row?

Could be a refit, my last 2 flights have changed as you describe, and both have been refits. (Bne-SYD etc), seats are the same as BSI

Rows 13 and 14... 30 rows total, FWIF. If there is any doubt I'll stick to row 3 for now. I'm doing 1-2 return trips up and down the east coast a week for the next five weeks or so, so plenty of time to use the upgrades. Or keep 'em in case they ever fold VA long haul flights under the scheme (not likely IMO).

Row 13/14 is indicative of the BSI aircraft, not sure if the reconfig aircraft had their exit rows changed.

It depends on whether the re-fit had the long legroom row 3 configured as well. The exits are where they are but adding 38" of pitch to row 3 would cause a reconfig of the row numbers in the rest of the aircraft to accomodate. Anybody know?
