The BSI Aircraft Tracking thread!

Travelling today on two flights.

Ealier in the week one of the aircraft was to be a 73G with the new Business seating - set selection was showing 22 rows.

This was subbed for a 738 with a seat map showing 29 rows.

Also today I am travelling on a 738, but its seat map shows 30 rows.

Does any know the specific difference between these aircraft? Is one BSI?

FWIW, both 738's have rows 13 & 14 as exit seats.

The 737-800s with 29 rows are the older, thicker seats. 30 rows are the new BSIs with slim-line seats.

I've flown on a few refitted 700s. Nice planes, 1 D/F has a bit more legroom than A/C because the galley hasn't been changed yet. The business seat is slightly different, as you would be able to see by the traytable design. I still can't decide whether I think the seat itself is smaller, I doubt it is.

Also, for Y flyers, any seat before the exit row on the 700 refitted has quite a bit of legroom, however, row 3 might have less legroom than the 800s (haven't used a ruler to measure).

You are correct, just alighted from the BSI on the return.

Having sampled both 738 versions today from 3D I can relate that with the BSI, row 3 has at least 2" more leg room.

I think we can possibly forgive VA for those missing 2"s ;).

I'm still wondering if row 3 is all about another 4 J seats if business works for them.

I have thought the same thing myself. Shift the bulkhead back, rest of the seats are already set
