The BYO Wine Restaurant Thread

Freycinet vineyard, Spring Vale & Devils Corner would be my picks in that neck of the woods

noticed this on FB - 5 x BYO Adelaide options

Went to Ryne for the first time yesterday to celebrate Chinese New Year and my mum's birthday - absolutely fantastic, highly recommended, better than Taxi Kitchen in every way - food/service/space/seating - Sunday lunch is 4 courses for $68 with sizeable servings, amazing value - could definitely be/come my new favourite - thank you @Mr_Gimlet :)

now on the Entertainment Card as a Bonus Offer with 25% off up to $50 until 31st July - don't know if they'll allow combining with Good Food Gift Card

I saw that...installed it and saw I had to create account and promptly in-installed it.
Can sign into it via your facebook account. I keep one of those for just this type of thing.

Surprised everyone doesn't have a fake facebook account.

Always looking for quality BYO offers in Melbourne, especially on s-e side. Here’s a few I can recommend as being BYO friendly.

Maha East Chapel St Windsor, BYO permitted Monday and Tuesdays at $20 per bottle. Quality glass ware / wine service. Food and service are excellent. Great addition to the hood.

Lemnos High St Prahran, classic Greek Taverna. Lovely, simple food. Have the gyros, the king prawns, etc. Host is Peter. Very friendly service, and I always offer him a glass or two of whatever I’ve brought. Pretty sure byo every service.

David’s, Cecil Pl Prahran. It’s been here for 20 years and frankly, has never been better. Innovative and satisfying Shanghainese cuisine. Good glassware - Plumm - comfortable decor, great to see this in such good form. BYO most if not all, services.

Dainty Szechuan, Toorak Rd South Yarra. I was a late convert to here. For me, hands down the best roast duck throughout the length of Toorak Rd. I also take my own glasses299A3219-2DDE-4B7A-84B0-1604126F05B8.jpeg299A3219-2DDE-4B7A-84B0-1604126F05B8.jpeg ( call me eccentric )... comfortable and cheap as chips. What’s not to love ? BYO permitted every service

Love to hear from other members who have had similar wine-friendly experiences.

Great post @baldman

I've always been a fan of David's. They also have a good list should you not BYO enough :p

fyi due to covid-19, Taxi Kitchen is currently not allowing BYO or gift cards :(

however Ryne continues to accept both :)

20% off $150+ Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Gift Cards using MEMBER20 ends midnight AEDT tonight, but Coles still have 2000 flybuys points with them and Good Food gift cards until next Tuesday

Last thing I'll be doing is granting other companies access to my Facebook profile.
but that depends

Thank you so much for sharing this. Going to cutler tomorrow and this has now knocked $100 off the bill!
no worries, but if not too late then i'd call them before buying in case they don't currently accept them like taxi kitchen, despite being listed on the gift card websites - if they don't, then hopefully should again within the next 3yrs :)

Too late. I'll find out soon I guess.
If not it won't be that hard to spend at Ryne or similar over the next little while.

Looks like BYO is now restricted to Tue-Thu.. Small place, interesting mix of Japanese and Italian.,
