The "Do you need a hand?" thread

This is a wonderful initiative. I’m in bayside Melbourne, and happy to help out too.

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.' To this day, especially in times of 'disaster,' I remember my mother’s words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers—so many caring people in this world."

I work on the frontline in a major hospital in Northern Sydney near where a major outbreak has broken out. It is only a matter of time before I get infected despite all the precautions so may need help for shopping if and when I'm quarantined at home. :( shame that Coles and Woolworths have stopped online shopping / delivery.

I've just read on a Lupus support FB page that Woolworths have an exception for people who simply cannot go into the shops. Can you check that out? Apparently Coles is a bit slower.
But failing that there are people here who will help you out. A PM is all it takes. And thankyou for your work and best wishes.

One of the "silent tragedies " when the humans are in trouble is the fate of their pets.
I have no idea how to secure the care of our menagerie if we become unwell and I am sure this will be repeated a thousand times over in the next few months.
If an ambulance picks up a patient nearby …PLEASE check to see if an an animal is now abandoned.
Just like during the bushfires, heroic animal lovers will try to help.. but in difficult times it is very easy to forget those lost eyes…. waiting………………………..

That's why I'm glad that all my "pets" are wild. The birds, blue tongue and frogs all survive without us but still bring joy.
