Ebola still persisting.

The mother was one of three new Ebola cases diagnosed in Sierra Leone over the past week, dashing hopes that the country had vanquished the virus.


"When you think of all the contacts [doctors and nurses] will have made when they go home, it's scary," a health official told Reuters.
Meanwhile Guinea will put four villages under a 21-day quarantine as part of a robust strategy to stamp out a lingering Ebola epidemic after new cases of the disease were discovered there.

What's happening with the Ebola form at immigration? We were given forms this morning on VA2 but went through the electronic gates and no one collected our forms or was remotely interested. I'm guessing as we'd clicked that we hadn't been to Africa or South America we were automatically cleared?

Had customs in SYD on Tuesday ask for the ticket from the gate rather then the form.

Wasn't asked for my form last Sunday at SYD (ex BKK). It's now been shredded.

The egates still have the question on travel and if you use the egate you don't need to fill that form in.

No you just take the form and bin it once past Customs.No need to fill it in.

Mine didn't until about 3-4 years ago. Same passport but the guys in SYD int checked/did something to it.

If yours isn't maybe ask someone if you have time?

Mine has always worked. Much to MrP's annoyance as his is random. No Ebola form on the Sat AirNZ flight.

Form not handed out for HKG-SYD flight a few days ago.

From memory form was handed out for same flight in September but not collected at SYD airport.
