Actually quite logical.

I just find it difficult when USA survivors who receive the best medical care in the USA say they placed their faith in God for their recovery.

I guess God only looks after the advantaged in this world.

Could be because (the nurse especially) knows just how many errors and mistakes get made every day as well as the perennial cost-cutting 'enhancements' that reduce the real efficacy of the medical services.

Your last was too cynical given all the medical staff from the 'advantaged' who pay their own way and lose their earnings when they volunteer for organisations like MSF. They do not hog the media spotlight, put themselves in harms way and make a difference.

A bit like the 3 70+yr old nuns killed in Nigeria last year. One had been working their since she was 23.

I just think it's a bit arrogant to assume that God has helped them individually while many others have died. Unless we are going to trot out the "this is gods way" stuff.

And yes, I do understand that many of the medical people are driven to assist in disadvantaged countries by virtue of their calling.

Pity that MSF doctor in NYC didn't follow a 21 day isolation policy ... going bowling, eating at restaurants, using subway/cabs and hooking up with your fiancee really doesn't look like intelligent decisions.

The health authorities aren't in a hurry to change policy  Ebola protocols will not be changed in light of New York doctor case | Global development | theguardian.com

Yes. Surely that should be the norm for someone who KNOWS they have had active contact with the virus.

Being agnostic I don't take sides but I would say that anyone who believes in a god is entitled to think they have an individual relationship with him/her if they want to.

The wheels on the Ebola bus go round and round round and round.......whaaaaaaaaa!

When the world gets sick they will work a cure. If it was just an African disease as it has been till now, the west was in no hurry to actively assist.

Watch the pace pick up now the west could be under some pressure. There will be no religious argument unlike that associated with HIV. we will fastback a solution.

What about a Singapore Suite?????
cough cough...is it hot in here or just me.......best to isolate me in a Singapore Suite...KRUG to lower my core temp please ;)
Old guy and son got into VA Business and held the exiting of plane on landing cause of symptoms not related to ebola though......
