Cheers anat0l - not quite qualified yet - just need those last 4 flights to post - which I expect to post around midnight Dallas time today.

The casual style has its place - probably a little less rambling and actually more on topic than my normal style ;)

Congratulations ... I'm sure you stressful SYD-CBR flight on =Monday now seems well worth it.

BTW, if you had missed both the 5:14 PM departing flights, I'm sure they would have put you on the later one.

On another note, I have never read a Pratchett book - should I?

This could be a little like when I read Magician by Fiest about 8 years ago. Someone had give me a Krondor book for xmas or something and I liked it so I bought Majician and read it liked, eventually buying and reading the entire series in over a few weeks.

I would definitely read them - a blend of satire, commentary on all aspects of modern life set in a magical world where anything can happen.

Start with the colour of magic and go from there - then watch the TV shows and the plays and listen to the audio books....
