The "I am in self-isolation" thread

And now everyone in self isolation can go cherry blossom viewing.Enjoy.

We had a pretty good bloom here in London a few weeks back, was nice to wander around various sub-parts of London and see them with a rare backing of blue skies. For now though, I can only stare out the window and ponder where they might be..... when I was last out a week ago they were already starting to dwindle.

I have my exercise bike out on the front porch so I can appreciate our view of the passing parade. Last night we did Italian take out and it was very good. It is nice to be free but we are not going to crowded areas.

Yes, my time is up and I was able to go out to the post office and GP today. Now back home and happily back in the living room. Boy the roads are quiet, it's like the Xmas holidays! :) Back to work next week - should be interesting.

It's like a sweatshop here. SWMBO and I have seperate officers both with three screen display set up. The grade 12 student has been heavy with on-line learning for the pat three days. The son is still working.... day and night- essential service.

The two dogs haven't got a clue what's going on!

There is some life after this 14 day isolation. We have 93 year old granny back living with us and we don’t need to rely on deliveries of food. She doesn’t understand all the rules.
My SIL is being moved into Centrelink after Easter which should be interesting.
I received a telling off from Mrscove for going to the office for a couple of hours. The good news there is they have hand sanitizer and toilet paper. No one can visit and the sales staff are doing online product training and client phone calls. Being over 70 Mrscove wants me to go to the office on Saturday and/or Sunday to do my work.
The bike riding has cleared my mind. I went further yesterday and it was almost an hour soaking up the clean air and viewing the passing parade. At 6.30 am it is very nice outside and light enough to see dogs and not run over them.
Our neighbours are planning a zoom virtual wine night.....being less capable on the link up I might just wander down the street with a good red and have it from the other side of the road to comply with the rules.
Putting in a lift at home will be delayed as the lift is coming from Italy. Our builder is getting everything ready so we are the noisiest neighbours during the day.

I am WFH not self isolating, but my neighbours have decided this is a good week for jackhammering. In fact I can hear the other neighbour complaining to them right now.

Well theres rarely a right time to be jack hammering but if not during the day/after 7am, when?

Yes you cannot dig thru 12 inch re-inforced concrete with a nail file.....Lucky it is only three levels and the road workers are outside doing kerbing now so it is a bit of a competition.
