The "I am in self-isolation" thread

Just curious what is the longest self isolation period here on the forum ?

I intend to do 16 days before nipping out to get a flu shot, and to see my local pharmacist right with the original scrips which they filled using scanned copies, with delivery last week. Then back under the covers.

After eating heaps of tomatoes from the garden made into various sauces, finally went out for a quick shop and bought some meat. Balsamic macerated chops. Yum.

Ahh - just finished dinner and realised the asparagus I had prepared are still in the fridge - SIGH - I do that all the time and it's usually the greens because they don't need much cooking. Maybe tomorrow night

Our time is up and I have been read the riot act by my family seeing I am over 70 and on heart medication.
Today I did the MyGov ID for all of our trading entities.....MyGov was broken for a few hours......
I won’t stay at work long tomorrow but just need to do some bits and pieces.

I often forget the asparagus too in the frig for some reason.

I just want to say that I have been FORCED into quarantine after returning from my first class cruise. The 5 star hotel I am staying in ONLY has local champagne and the spa ONLY has 4 outlets. My balcony is tiny & I can barely see the Opera House! It prison I tell you...prison!

Rolling on the floor laughing

My mum always preps the asparagus then puts the container in the microwave and forgets about it until after dinner....

Australia Post. Seriously. We are Self isolating. Avoiding anything other than the beach walk (which even if the beach is closed, as it's our neighbourhood we will be allowed to do but beaches aren't closed). Ordered some disposable gloves to be delivered home. I was home. Checked letterbox and sure enough, Australia Post has left a card and now I have to go to the Post Office. Wasn't even loaded on. I've tweeted.

Reminds me of the awful time my mum pulled out the griller tray in the 1980s, only to discover the 'devils on horseback' from a dinner party she had hosted a month or so prior. Same deal, all prepped, but forgot to turn the griller on, so there they were, shrivelled little prunes wrapped in sad rancid bacon, held by toothpicks. The griller must have been well sealed as we had no aromas to clue us in! Good times :)
