That's not that bad. There are far further gates at other airports, LHR for example has some doozy walks.
And the high-numbered H gates if using the FL at ORD  .

or for that matter using an AC near the gate of your departing flight at DFW only to find it changes terminal while you're using the facilities

At least they only changed gates and not terminals!

while my most recent experience was only a change of gates within the terminal (further away from the AC I was in, which was in a different terminal but closeish to the original gate), I have experienced change of gates from one terminal to another at DFW before - not good

Dear Experts,

I will be flying ADL <=> BME soon. I usually fly QF but can't resist the fact that the DJ flight is non-stop (QF flies via PER, which turns the trip into a saga - and forces a transit at that terrible PER terminal and PER QC with the surly staff). I am not a "Lounge" member.

I'm flying with Mr SIA1A so looking at the two of us attending Virgin's ADL "Lounge" prior to departure. Last time we did this (2 years ago) I loaded two single-entry passes onto my Velocity card but when the two of us entered The Lounge, the receptionist only debited my card with one pass - leaving a second pass to use within 6 months (it expired due to no subsequent DJ flight experiences).

So my question: Does a Single Entry Lounge Pass entitle the holder of the pass to bring a guest into the Lounge at no additional cost? - or was I simply lucky last time when the attendant only deducted one pass from my Velocity card for 2 people entering?

I can't see anything about this in the Virgin Lounge Rules.

Does anyone have experience here?

I don't have any experience with using a Lounge Pass but one would assume a Single Entry Lounge Pass is just that. A pass for a single entry to the lounge for one person.

I think you got extremely lucky last time and would not count on being able to take a guest into the Lounge again on a single entry lounge pass.

definetely 1 single pass per person ....interestingly though I went in a with my partner who has a Priority Pass a few weeks ago in SYD - waved through without even imprinting the card so no charge at all!

Are you travelling anywhere else with Virgin Blue in a 30 day period?

If so a Delta Skyclub 30 day membership could be of use.

They cost US$90 and you can take two guests in.

They are valid at all Virgin Blue Lounges in Australia.

Cheers
