I like the sound of this event - have always wanted to visit LRE.
But can't make a decision just yet, and looks like fares will get expensive pretty quickly so I'll have to wait and see.

I considered the potential lack of availability on the route closer to the dates and I've made an award booking flying MEL-BNE on 28Apr and then on to LRE on the Friday morning flight. Returning Monday.I guess that means I'm platinum now. :D

Copper :p

Having been to LRE a few times now, I can highly recommend this event, and a visit to Central Western Queensland for those who have not been!

I'm bronze as I will be in Croatia then; also I'm already going to LRE 3-5 Oct this year so I'm sure I'll check out some of the above places out:mrgreen:

That's a shame.

However, let me know if you need some advice for the trip later this year. I can already tell you, if you're intending to do the Platinum Tour at the QFOM you'll want to book ahead due to limited spots, and I'd choose the early morning tour as it gets hot pretty quickly!

Gold please.

A request to operate extraordinary flights JT003/004 has been submitted to the appropriate authorities and is awaiting approval. Once this has been obtained limited tickets will be released. As I am dealing with a government body, this may take some time.

Planning will also begin for the transport and establishment of an exec lounge for the duration of the event. (Subject to regulatory approval).
Having heard this plan in detail it is a worry. Definitely need to see more information at multiple levels before any real approval consideration could be given.

Very interested. A few things on around at that time of year for me so will depend on the calendars not clashing.
Sounds fantastic :)

Okay, that won't clash with ozfest 13, however the $$ might be an issue. I'll say Silver now and keep an eye on the thread.

Then I am glad there are no public submissions for this proposal.

Colour me interested. A trip over for this event from NZ would be a good long weekend away.

Put me down as Gold, not sure I can make it; will depend where I am living at the time.
