Well the GE90 has almost the same diameter of the cabin interior of the 737
That was the publicised point of wonder when the B777 was launched c. 1995.

That's fascinating - thank you.Well, back in the day, jetliners didn't really need their entire wing...

Sorry Leadman I cant see the safety angle in this photo. The aircraft model seems to be the type of thing in many airports, just a four engine airliner maybe an A340. What is the black box underneath?View attachment 40371 This really does not fit here with all the great shots of all the "real" aircraft, but I thought some might find this a bit funny. I was recently in Orly and the model was in the ticketing counter for Kuwait; not great advertising for safety. My French colleague said they should change their motto to "we fly on a wing and a prayer"!

Seen at LAX in May 2012 Malaysia Airlines 772 rego 9M-MRD which sadly is no longer in the fleet as of 17 July 2014.
Its only got three engines and 1 and 1/2 wings. Not really a good marketing move to leave a broken piece of advertising on display!

Is this for real or is it another photo shop job?
I cant believe that LAX traffic control would let this happen.
A great shot even it is a paste up!
I think I saw elsewhere that it's a shop job
This has been posted and corrected before. Its a composite image. Here is one of the originals:
I don't think it is. Simultaneous parallel ops occur at LAX all the time. The runways are a fair way apart - it's deceptive.
