OOL, what a joke ...what is it now in terms of PAX movements - Largest non-cap city and 6th overall for the country ?

Yet no areo-bridges in this day and age, nor any plan for them ......

Section 7.3 and particular 7.3.2 of their current master plan is sad reading ...

The apron stand positions are currently set back from the terminal face as will similarly occur with future apron stand positions, with sufficient distance to accommodate aerobridges should the airlines see a feasible requirement for their installation in the future. Airport owners developing terminals to cater for low cost carrier airlines, both domestically and internationally, tend not to include aerobridges for the reasons outlined.

Don't worry it was only 34 degrees C (dry blub) air temp at OOL yesterday afternoon ...feel free to take a stab at the apron temp .......

I saw a Lionair hybrid a/c in Jan which said Malindo (?) Air on the fuselage but the Lion Air logo on the tail.
Yes, it was at DPS last night too. If you look at post 323 you can see one of these hybrids just behind Cathay. Malindo is a minority's shareholder with Lionair but now has a fleet of about half a dozen 737s in its own right. I don't know why the have retained the Lionair logo on the tail though.

edit: typo

Some nice work by Mrs Clivem of my flight to LAX on VH-VPF. Some great tail winds across the Pacific we held at BNE for a while because we would of arrived to early for immigration and customs at TBIT. Unusally thing about this one it wasn't VA7 ...... it was VA5 March 7 the VA transpac flights had a numbering change for some reason VA3 out of SYD and 5 out of BNE
