Great photos - reminded me of the open days at Richmond all those years ago (so long ago that you got there on the rail motor)

The leading aircraft in the first photo of post 577 is the C-27J Spartan. This aircraft was to replace the Caribou but when they iron out all the kinks it will be much more

Major, I think it's an CASA / IPTN CN-235... note the lack of windows below and above the coughpit.. (and the 'chiselled' nose) - they're also used by the USAF so that would fit in with the other USAF planes.

I can't tell you much about it technically but FWIW the aircraft is French Air Force. The captain said the payload was 5t. Endurance 8hrs. I forget the range. He said they use it mostly for paratrooper ops.

And the mystery Jetstar propjet in the photo above is probably a Bombardier Q300 (aka a Dash 8)

I can confirm that it is a Q300.
Jetstar in New Zealand have regional flights, introduced late last year.
Aircraft are actually operated by Eastern Australia Airlines, on the VH registry, in fact all JQ aircraft operating in NZ and across the Tasman are VH registered.

Totally agree with that colour scheme as well rather than the 80's overall grey one.
Those photos remind me of the model planes I made in what feels like another life.

From top to bottom: B-47, B-52 (G model, I think?) , B-29 and a B-17.
