Hope you get some great shots tonight

I still have a bit to learn about fireworks shots, so did not capture much. A couple more shots from the twilight run :

I have a feeling the dude on top of Parliament house office tower was not admiring the view.

From a distance I thought it was a 'Virgin red', but as it got closer it turned into 'nuclear orange'.

Hi All. Was going through some old photos on my phone and came across these few from Songshan Airport (TSA) in Taipei. There's a small lane at the end of the runway (literally about 100m from the end) which gives pretty good access for spotting, especially when the aircraft are approaching from the west (which is most of the time). I get out there pretty regularly so will post some more when I can.

One of my favourite airports being downtown, always fun to sit in my hotel watching the approaches, especially with my favourite airline FAT

Yep, it's literally smack bang in the middle of downtown. I imagine the view would be pretty good from some of the nearby hotels, but I'm not sure about the noise. There's a small hotel on the main road which runs beside the runway, pretty much in-line with the start point for takeoff. Yes FAT airlines has quite a few flights in here, their MD-80s have got to be some of the loudest things I have ever heard, can hear them from miles away!!

A flash coat of orange paint still not enough to tempt you Matt? The orange one goes moderately faster.

It was a struggle to resist, but I just got through with out the need to use them. I prefer to cruise at 4' with a complimentary beveridge and server of my choice........:D

In some ways I am glad this is a freighter pilot flying:

Interesting to see QF836 BNE-DRW and QF837 DRW-BNE (usually a 738) operated as a 767-300ER today. A treat* for PAX the 4 hour sector. It was OGM for those lamenting their departure from the fleet.
*depending how you feel about the type and the IFE being ipads

TZ5/ SCO05 OOL to SIN departed ~120 mins late and then diverted to DRW. ~120 mins on the ground in DRW. Now airborne again. Anyone got any clues?

Not enough beds at the BNE inn ..... pic credit to Adam of YBBN Spotters. I counted 15 aircraft in frame .....

Looks like it's taken on the roof of the Brisbane Domestic Terminal to take a pic that high.

The photo was actually taken from the top level ( accessible to all ) of the newer car park closest to the domestic terminal ....QF end of course.
