Jetstar Chat says this;
Given Jetstar can't issue GDS tickets, I suppose that makes sense, but this seems a little cursed. I suppose my questions are;
- Will I get a proper e-ticket (on a QFF-earning fare code) and therefore will I have QFF points credit properly? I don't really want to try to claim Jetstar ORC as that seems like a pain. I'd rather have it just credit as a Qantas flight (same points/SC as my purchased bundle anyway)
- If there's no record on the Qantas end, how do they even reserve the seat for me and make sure the flight doesn't sell out? Maybe there's a block of seats reserved for JQ rebooking that then gets manually assigned at check-in? I hope that's the case...
Anyway, the Jetstar chat agent understandably couldn't answer these questions. I'm not in a massive rush to get to my destination tomorrow (SYD-MEL), so I'm not going to try to push this further (I don't even know how you can really escalate this with Jetstar anyway).
