The Qantas Singapore Lounge

Most QF Oz bound flights have boarded/departed well and truly by 8:30pm, so the lounge does tend to clear out. A better perspective can be gained ~6pm.

I was in there last Saturday for around 3 hours until my flight boarded around 7:15pm. It was very pleasant and maybe 40% full. I quite like the Singapore lounge and prefer it to the BA or EK lounges.

I wonder if anyone else uses the QF SIN Lounge, apart from QF elites and QF/JQ passengers.

A few BA exec club silver/gold members do what I do and have dinner and a shower in the QF Lounge and then retire to the BA lounge for pease and quiet and a nice glass or two of champagne.

Yes, I alternate between the two, start in the BA lounge when it is quiet, move to the QF lounge after the Australian flights have left and stay there as the BA lounge fills up as there are two London flights departing within 5 minutes of each other (one being upgraded to an A380 in October).

I attempted to use the Air Print thingy on Wednesday night.

The printer is something you'd buy your parents so they can print emails from the grandkids. It's clearly not built for such a job. For my nine page print job (all text) the first three pages took more than five minutes and they were patchy because, as the app told me, the ink needed changing. I ended up asking the lounge agent to shred the rest. I needed to head to the gate.

BA lounge in SIN has efficient colour printing from the desktop PCs, might be able to do via wifi as well. I particularly like the big photocopier/printers they have in LHR, good for lengthy work documents.

Imagine the QF lounge bill from BA for QF pax going in to print documents!

The HKG printer looks like a fairly decent machine though.
