The Qantas Status Run Master Thread

Has anyone worked out some lucrative status runs based on the current int'l sales?
Checking the usual suspect, OOL-xMEL-CHC return and similar, came to about $3.25/SC using DSC (500SC for $1,6xx). What other good options there would be for those who want to make an extra holiday out of this?

MEL-SYD-ZQN priced quite well

Hi I have gold that expires in 3 Months time and I need 128 status points to retain gold. I also have 78 status points until I get a loyalty bonus that includes 50 bonus status credits.

I also have qantas green tier and qantas points club. So what’s the easiest way to gain 78 status credits? I also have 75,000 qff points that I’m happy to spend with an additonal 130,000 qff points hitting my account in 2 months time.

Is there a particular status run using cash or points that would fit the bill?

Currently you can book MEL-SYD return in business class for under $1000. That will get you 80 SC.

I can do classic rewards CBR-SYD-CCH-MEL-CBR in business and that should yield 18+32+32+28=110 status credits…

Cost is 83,000 points plus $374

Can anyone come up With something cheaper?

Got to get to Sydney first…. CBR-MEL seems to be around $1500 return business…

Based in CBR until January then based in PQQ thereafter

Hello all you people,
this is a great thread for info on status runs. I must admit I have not read every single post since the start. I would like to know where people find their status run pricing. Do you do it through the Qantas site or via third parties such as Google Flights??
Welcome, @Peso88 !

I tend to start on Google Flights, then move onto the Qantas site to fine tune.
I probably don't book as complicated routings as many here, but I do what works for me.
