The Qantas Status Run Master Thread

I think your calcs are off. PQQ-SYD in Y is indeed 7 SC, however I believe SYD-MEL in J is only 18 SC. So a return trip would net you 50 SC total.
I ended up booking PQQ-SYD-BNE-CBR in J (classic reward) and CBR-SYD-PQQ IN ECONOMY so P+ should give sufficient points to get me over the line.

Qantas domestic business class sale on now, until 2 March.

  • MEL-CBR $399
  • MEL-NTL $399

  • PER-KGI $499
For 60 SCs:
  • BNE-CNS $549
  • BNE-MEL $549
  • DRW-ASP $589
  • ADL-ASP $599
  • CNS-DRW $599

Any word of the double status deal for Qantas? It seems likely its going to be this month some time, right?

I'm trying to get some flights to Perth sorted for a trip in May. Has anybody stumbled across some decent status runs?

The best I've been able to find in business is:
MEL -> BNE
BNE -> ADL (total $1189 and 120SC)
ADL -> PER (total $699 and 60SC)

Return trip is $3776 and 180SC, doubled comes out to 360SC and return to 720SC at $5.2 per SC.

Posted a similar question on the March DSC post:

With the new DSC promotion currently running its time to put on the status run plans again. Current $/SC from Perth has become so high!

Can someone confirm that when going from Econ Flexi - it is possible to upgrade to Business Saver with the credit as its going up a fare bucket?

Or does it have to be Business or Business Flexi?

Trying to do another (if possible) PER-MEL/SYD-AKL return trips. Not too far from LTS and will get to LTG probably the following year.

Cheap weekend J seat MEL-SYD return or MEL-ADL return will get you 40 SC's each way (80 with the DSC).
Going via somewhere on the way (for the same number of points as non-stop) will help.

Thanks all. End up finding Mel-Syd-Adl-Mel all in J which should net me 108SC. Hopefully this should satisfy the fast track requirement.
