The Qantas Status Run Master Thread

Not sure which fast track you're referring to, but you might want to check the T&Cs of that offer to make sure that bonus status credits count towards whichever offer you're using.
It’s this fast track: https://www.qantas.com/nz/en/frequent-flyer/status-and-clubs/status/fast-track.html

The one thing that concerns me is this part: Double Qantas Points and double Status Credits will be credited within eight weeks after travel. Bonus Status Credits earned from this offer do not count towards Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward, Platinum One Bonus Reward and Status Accelerator/Challenge earn requirements.

Actually, I think you’ll be OK as this is a “Fast Track” and not technically a Status Accelerator/Challenge. It’s an exception to the rule.

The FAQs on the page you linked are clear:

From time to time, there may also be opportunities to earn bonus Status Credits from limited-time-only promotions. Keep an eye out for these offers in the future, as these bonus Status Credits will also count towards the Qantas Status Fast Track.

Do you know if getting green tier count towards the fast track. I'm thinking it's probably cheaper just to get the 50SC from Green Tier then book a cheap economy class fare.

The answer seems to be in the FAQs:

Most types of Status Credits earned within the 90 day period will contribute to the Qantas Status Fast Track, including those earned in the air and on the ground. However, Status Credits earned from Loyalty Bonus, rollover Status Credits and any gifted Status Credits will not count toward your 100 Status Credit goal.

Does anyone have any recommendations for status run routing from SFO? I'm needing around 120 SCs to hit Platinum before a flight home to SYD via LAX.

I've found SFO-SEA-BOI-SEA-SFO in 'First' (i.e. business) on Alaskan for $475, which I believe should earn 40 SCs per segment, for a total of 160 at ~$3 per SC. Are there any other options, or anything I'm looking at incorrectly on this option to Boise?

AS is probably the best option. I’ve found them to be about half the price of AA “First” of late.

Be aware that there have been some recent issues with AS flights “operated by Skywest” crediting to QFF even though Skywest is a OW affiliate of AS.

All my AS flights have credited however (including Skywest operated flights).

I seem to be able to book on AS marketed and operated flights, so hopefully okay. First trip on the Max 🙏

Looking at ITA Matrix, that’s probably a reasonable option for $/time/SC earn. BOI is actually quite a big route for AS but when I booked, it was an E190 (same plane from YVR-SEA-BOI). As an aside, we drove from BOI to BZN following the Snake River to Yellowstone.

One stop to SAN (SFO-SEA-SAN) will 40 SC more on a return trip but the timing possibly doesn’t work as well.
It's a bit short notice, but look for routes with SEA/SFO/PHX/LAX* to/from ORD/DFW in business for 100 SC on those segments.

They looked to be about 2x to 3x the price but that’s the trade off for 120 SCs more and more BIS flying time.

Yes, the fare has gone up by about 40% since the last time I travelled on these a year ago. MCI via DFW/ORD can be useful.
