The Sebel Kirkton Park Hunter Valley now an IHG Property

Interesting.

There are a couple of independents in the IHG group. My understanding is that this happens when the hotel has agreed to be flagged as one of the existing brands, but need some sort of work to bring them into line with the brand standards of whichever chain they belong to.
 
I stayed at Sebel Kirkton Park once this year and it is a beautiful property. The room is very nice and it has a great view of the valley. If there are point break opportunity I will certainly book it!

AFAIK, they normally don't participate in the Rewards program until they are properly flagged.
 
I thought the the same but did a checkout to the last screen and it said I would get X number of points ..though maybe they can't control this feature.

cant say im in a rush to return, nice panoramic views but very lacking in dining or recreational facilities onsite.
