The Share-A-Case Thread

Anyone in Sydney interested in sharing the Vinomofo secret deal today of the Margaret river Shiraz? It's the Sandalford Estate Reserve 2010 and going for $17.50 plus postage.

Please let me know if any of you would like to purchase between 1 and 3 bottles of Cullen Diana Madeline 2008:

It's going for $92 a bottle, pick up Sydney CBD or North Shore.

I suspect many of you know the accolades:

- Langtons 'Exceptional'
- Ray Jordan 98 (look up his review, it is very, very flattering) (all of the expert reviews are glowing)
- very hard to come by these days

I have managed to lock in a private deal (today only) for some Escarpment Kupe Pinot Noir 2013.

Apparently, only 25 cases made it to Aus.

It got a whopping 99 from James Suckling and an equally illustrious 98 from Bob Campbell.

If anybody wants 3 at $90 a bottle, then please let me know ASAP.

JS said, to quote him: 'A striking wine thanks to the many complex facets to its personality. This is the zenith of the Escarpment pinot noir collection, a wine that gathers the personalities of its siblings and adds its own layer of class and complexity to the mix. Orange blossom, ripe dark cherries, freshly tilled earth, deep-wound woody spices, dried plums and even some beef stock and a hint of pepper all sit on the nose _ complex and regal. The palate is textured like deep velvet, profoundly flavored and woven together with deep-seated tannins, seamless and long. Every type of cherry, blueberry or plum is layered in soft, fleshy sections, building in layered waves of tannins as this wine goes on and on. The acidity finally creeps up to illuminate the finish. A profound pinot noir. A triumph not only for Escarpment and Larry McKenna, but for New Zealand pinot noir at large.'

Perth here. Looking to go halves in a dozen of the Margaret river Devils lair Chardonnay - current contraband deal. However best way to buy is in a dozen with the $125 off for referral + first buyer. Makes it $18 a bottle (rrp around 45-50)

Happy to collect one from SYD CBD next week if still available.

Thanks Boomy. One is still left. Unfortunately, I am just about to head overseas, so won't be around next week. I might be able to arrange for my secretary to hand it over when you are in town. Leave it with me, and I will PM you if this is a goer.

Thanks for your offer!

No Problemo!

If your interested in a bit of variety I recently picked up the 2013 Churchview Bartondale Chardonnay from the Fo.

Anyone in Melbourne following this thread? Am keen to go for a couple of split cases if anything super worth while comes up on the 'fo….

I theoretically live in Melbourne.

Next visit home is Friday this week.

AC, DrSammy, Katy or others in Sydney CBD - do you fancy going halves on the latest VIM Chardonnay deal from the Fo? 97 points and best Chardonnay in 2014; price, $41 a bottle plus a half share of the $9 delivery fee (ie $127.50 all in). Need to collect from Sydney CBD.

Many thanks,

Wozza

Yes, interested if the right thing comes up. Got plenty of quaffers for the time being, on the lookout for some better stuff now.

Sorry Wozza, I only drink white wine that's either sticky or bubbly - other than that I'm red all the way.

"Roger that" Katy. That's mostly me too, although I will jump on a good white deal if one takes my fancy.

AC, got your note and tried to buy. But the website noticed I was overseas and asked for a text message verification code. I am only on WiFi, so this was a non-starter. Happy for you to make the purchase this time, and I can collect and pay. Or happy to let this opportunity pass by. I'm easy - it's still 'Fiji Time' for me!!

Ps - loved the fact the Fo website had this level of cyber security in place. Gives me some good confidence they are looking to protect their members online from fraud.

Calling any Melbourne pinot fans - I'd be interested in splitting a case of the Helen & Joey Layla 2013 from the Fo. I'd ideally love 4..

If this reappears I'd be keen. Love my pinot! However I too would only want 4, I'm running out of room!
