After several months* of work, scientific research^ and testing on the general public# the Tony Hancock “What kind of Frequent Flyer are you?” quiz is finally complete. (Fifteen key questions with multiple choice answers.)

Please answer all questions truthfully or just lie if you like. If an answer does not match exactly your own response just make something up that matches near enough. :p

For the purposes of this quiz I am assuming that QF WP is the top level in the QFF program…..even though we all know it isn’t really. ;)

The purpose of the quiz is not to work out whether you are a frequent flyer it is to establish what sort of frequent flyer you are.

This quiz includes some technical jargon so please add an extra 10 points to your score if you don’t understand some of it. :p

When you have completed the quiz add up your score and see what sort of FF you are by reading the post defining FF’s by score.

Please, please, please, please don’t bother commenting about questions that should or shouldn’t be there or how the scoring should have been done etc. Just make your own quiz up instead!! :p

*err minutes
^ all research carried out after copious quantities of alcohol
# No frequent flyers were hurt, much, in the testing process

Add up your score and see what type of FF you are!

180+ Heaven forbid you are a road warrior that is possibly not concerned about the technicalities of planey things and stuff. You spend a lot of time flying and learn to deal with the cough that constantly flies your way. You probably fly HLO. There will be some in this group who might well be scamming the system to perfection too.

140-179 You fly a lot and also have a keen interest in the technical bits….such as if the plane has wings and engines and things. You have a well balanced(ish) view on life and are probably a valued airline customer.

100-139 You don’t fly as much as you’d like to but still more than most or you fly a lot in Y. You also have a keen interest in airports and aircraft but not the “mad as a hatter” interest level. Medium value to airlines maybe…who knows I’m just making this up as I go along.

70-100 Your either a road warrior on the way up or you have a fascination with air travel that does not quite manifest itself miles flown. Airlines are probably not seeking you out as a prime customer….but you may well turn into one....or you may be heading the other way.*

30-69 You don’t fly a great deal but you love airports and planes, you probably have a model of Sydney airport in your garage and have others in this bracket over to play Airport HD on your iPad. :p

0-29 You may fly a bit, but man you need to look up humility in the dictionary…and another thing get off that flight simulator!

Less than 0 – Oh dear, it is entirely possible that you may have a sense of entitlement that exceeds your value as an airline customer. :p

* added following feedback - much appreciated

Well at 88 you did leave out a possible cause-I am definitely on the way down not up.

Unfortunately a road warrior on the way down. :( And yes a fascination with air travel that no where near manifests itself in miles flown. :(

And yes I already know I'm not on the airlines' prime customer list. I'm lucky to have a number :)

THank you Tony, very interesting :)

I'm a road warrior - & more of an avgeek than a frequent flyer. The scenario in Q12 happened to me about 16 years ago. I called QF & said they must have made an error -I was advised to stop talking & just go with it.

In the 100-139 group but not by much. A few difficult to answer questions, but a fun exercise. You must have been quite bored... :)

10. On your maiden Boeing 787 flight there is an emergency and fire breaks out in the cabin, you….

I was counting along quite well until I came across this ripper and had to walk away for a good 5 minutes to ROFL (almost) literally.

This has to be the current TOTY*.

After calming down I scraped into the valued customer with 142.
