A foreign colonial power is a bit different to the country's own government.

What can I say. It could only happen in America.

Josh Groban was excellent. Great backing group too.

A really strange time because none mention their name and when greeted go dykwia?
Actually hoping that it is not too strange.

Special DYKWIA meeting in SYD F Lounge shortly. ;) Invitation only. And if you have to ask....

QF475 mel-Per is at least 1.5hr delayed ex-mel which i assume will flow on to the return per-mel.

Anyone know why?

Ridiculous. I call into our office mid morning to speak to our EA and because the bosses are interstate she is at the hairdresser. Really? At 10 am on a working day? To make it worse she hadn't organised any of the appointments she was supposed to. Sheesh.

So a soon to be ex-EA? Or very severely disciplined at the least with pay docked for the missing time?

I'm so disappointed HVR. We give people 3 days paid leave over Christmas (not annual leave), Christmas dinner at a restaurant, flowers for birthday and Christmas presents. WELL above award rates, negotiated free parking for them and they do this kind of stuff. The day before she did this she asked for a days leave which we agreed to, even though she has used up all her leave at that time (but will accrue more). Just abusing any trust. We are just a small consultancy so absence makes a difference.

Geez... I gotta say....

...you got any job openings? I can send a CV over posthaste... ;) :D

I think I even posted in this thread around Christmas, no, wait, it was Whirlpool, that not ONE of them thanked us for the days off. Things are going to change though. I'm getting too old and cranky to put up with this stuff. Definitely crossed the line now.

Whatcha do anatol? :)

It's a real PITA that you're required to jump through so many hoops to discipline/dismiss a poor performer.

Hiring is very easy - firing is very difficult.

Yes, that's Fair Work Australia in action. Although being under 15 people we have a little bit of room to move. As always, there are bad bosses and they abuse the workers, that has to be acknowledged. The pendulum goes to and fro. It's very much based on the employee at the moment. I am still cross about it - hairdresser indeed.
