I think you're missing one thing here.... "better halves" can be expensive, so you'd do less trips to Thailand each year :D
Apologies but I am a bit slow in getting this one so probably missing a lot of things.

Putting together exams or quizzes is tough work. It's like the ratio of time invested to create the thing as to the time taken to complete the assessment is anywhere between five and fifty.

Even worse when your first draft of the exam turns out to be too short for the mark allocation, so you go back having to pad out the exam...

Just returned from an excellent HH reception at The Trafalgar. Apparently it happens every Tues for Diamonds. Very nice selection of Canapés and some late night pizza for those not moving on :)

Not often you get this view from your hotel room, the Ticonderoga class USS Chosin, suddenly Newcastle feels very safe!

(Not trying to offend anyone, so please don't take this the wrong way)...

Didn't Peal Harbour also feel safe?

Ever checked out what a Ticonderoga carries:

2 × 61 cell Mk 41 vertical launch systems
122 × Mix of RIM-66M-5 Standard SM-2MR Block IIIB, RIM-156A SM-2ER Block IV, RIM-161 SM-3, RIM-162A ESSM, RIM-174A Standard ERAM, BGM-109 Tomahawk, or RUM-139A VL-ASROC
8 × RGM-84 Harpoon missiles
2 × Mk 45 Mod 2 5 in / 54 cal lightweight gun
2 × 25 mm Mk 38 gun
2–4 × .50 cal (12.7 mm) gun
2 × Phalanx CIWS Block 1B
2 × Mk 32 12.75 in (324 mm) triple torpedo tubes for lightweight torpedoes

FWIW there were armed snipers on both the fore and aft decks as she came in, not to mention the three police RIBs and master vessel!

Wonder if the women of Newcastle feel the same;)

Funny you should mention that, there were 6 or so middle aged women having a business meeting on the outdoor setting near the hotel, when they saw the sailors they were like a bunch of little girls screaming and waving, I thought One Direction were on board for a minute

You just can't beat a guy in uniform I guess!

There's a dating site for that now! (in the UK ... I won't mention it's name, but I will just say it is a uniform dating site.)

I'm not thinking Village People style uniforms. ;)

PF you stay at The Trafalgar regularly? We stayed at The Waldorf a.k.a Fawlty Towers in July but never again - need alternative next visit.
