When we go out to dinner with our older friends you can get some interesting life and death stories so here is one told by a doctor friend.

His patients go to a funeral and they are inside not knowing anyone at all so it dawns on them that they are in the wrong chapel. They go to the door but find the door has been shut and blocked and are told to go back to their seats because the will is about to be read out.
Everyone who attended the funeral was to receive $40,000 in accordance with the will.

Indicates more about the poor licensing system and the retiree culture of the Coast to me... Poor layout doesn't help either. But really, anyone who drives more than 10 meters down that track needs immediate licence suspension and a proper medical done.

We went with the tasting menu - 8 courses with matching wines

We backed up the next day with dinner at Rockpool (Bridge St) and went with the "three choices" menu....his version of a tasting menu. 8 courses of entrees followed by your three sections from the mid/main/dessert menus. Bit of a fail IMHO.

The new Bridge St restaurant is very grand but pitch black in decor....creating a dark mood. Unfortunately, the food matched the mood!

I can understand how someone gets a short distance but 500m? It doesn't look like it is smooth driving to get that far across the bridge.

What sort of turn or turns are required to get to that point from the previous road?

At least they can't blame the sat nav!

If they want to fly me up there, I'll go take a look.

This was our chocolate looking steak, I took a photo of the menu - it was nectarine, white nectarine but I was sure it wasn't guava! Custard Apple sounds interesting. Glad to see new items on the menu - we weren't sure how often is changed. We would go back, we both agreed but for a totally different meal not for a different seasons take on the same meal (if you know what I mean).

In case you haven't been following my latest TR, I had a good weekend in PER as a status run to get me over the line for WP. I did that & I'm over the line - just awaiting review.

I went to the doctor for my dressing change. I can reveal that the pain has gone away a lot since Thursday's dressing change. Since Thursday, there's been no Gelnet dressing added & I think movement & new growth was causing part of the pain. Only gauze & a bandage - much better.

Review on Saturday & possibly back to work Monday next week.
