Just received a request for product information from a prospective customer - typed - I repeat typed on a typewriter - even address on envelope typed on typewriter - cannot remember the last time I actually saw this - ah the romance of days gone by - brings back memories to some?

OK so what is the date today? 06/06/2014 right? Or ..... it is the 6th of the 6th correct?

OK so now just sit upright - and say todays date in that format - the 6th of the 6th ....... now be honest - who can actually say that without lisping on the last th?

Hahaha, we just inherited an old Remington typewriter, it's great fun!

Hmm I'll worry about that tomorrow given that it's still the 5th of June here in NYC.

Organising our class of 30 year school reunion and the amazing statistic that 3 Andrews are deceased...

The sadest one (to me) is without doubt Andrew McAuley: https://www.google.com.au/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=andrew mcauley

A documentary was made of the event that caused his death (and a book, finished by his wife Vicki). I am thinking of recommending that all attendees watch it (we have a whole day reunion, so an hour is perfect). Solo (2008 film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Our former Admin person has just moved to Tanzania. Specifically mentioned Arusha. Her living conditions sound extremely basic. Think - no stove, fridge, basic bathroom amenities. The things people do for love.

It's far from basic in the hotel - but Africa is land of massive contrasts.

I came across some mail today from a North Terrace orthodontist addressed as follows:

First Name - Surname (names deleted by me for privacy)
Cleft Palate No. xx_x (number deleted by me)
Clients address

This is certainly not only quite embarrasing for the recipients but surely a massive breach of patient confidentiality.
Imagine all these posties now knowing that so and so has a cleft palate

I can - as I have had to give that date multiple times over the last 30+ years of life - I have a friend born on the same date but in the year 1966 - thankfully I am in the 70's

I wonder how long LAN will fly to Sydney, noted todays flights were cancelled (good thing they did not do it last Friday). Looks like I am close to moving to Sydney soon, cant remember where I packed my cold weather gear.

I don't know. Cancer talk saddens me. Makes me remember dad, which is probably a good thing but sad nonetheless.

Then again I also have an internal fire at people who think trivial amounts of radiation of radiation will give them cancer.
