In related news, I had some tests the other day - seriously routine, just because i was at the doctor's and we thought it had been a while. Phone call this afternoon, "Doctor would like you to come in to discuss the results". Probably nothing, but still...

I had a good chat to my doctor yesterday and we discussed the results. Just about everything was fine (liver, cholesterol and the like) with one reading slightly positive. That is there are traces of something where there should be nothing. He was not worried, based on my general health. But the most reassuring thing he said was when I asked him when I should be retested - "Oh, next year" he replied.

Well wonders never end.another thing Medhead and I have in common.Staying up to watch Le Tour.
I also wanted to see Contador beaten but not this way.I cant remember worse weather conditions for so many days.Certainly taking a major toll of the competitors.
As much as I would like to see Richie Porte win it certainly looks like Nibali has the goods.But then the boy from Launceston says his aim is to finish on the podium.A very good chance of that.

The "evidence" for this: a) Barack called his wife Mike once, and b) apparently the shoulders of men are 3 head widths wide and women's are 2 head widths. Note the person didn't actually say Michelle Obama's shoulders were 3 heads widths wide, just implied such.

Shocking thing, this didn't come from the guy in the office who believes in chemtrails. Initially I thought "desperate right wing nutbags". But it seems to me there are some deeply disturbed people out there if they need to even think about this stuff, let alone going into analysis of people's body shape.

I was talking to quite a well educated and respected professional fellow from the United States that I know through a shared interest in a hobby, Obama came up in the conversation and he immediately said, "you mean our Kenyan President", unfortunately he wasn't joking. I actually when back to this person with the fact that she had children. Their first response was that surgeon can create all sort of shapes down there. I just replied, "Yep but they can't create eggs from thin air". Fortunately they then got the point.
