I think so - entry level.

There are limited numbers so my name has just been put in the mix. No guarantees.

Entry level is the Foundation, then next one is Practitioner. You would need to pass the Foundation exam before you can try the Practitioner exam.

If you can, just go for the practitioner workshop and sit for the Practitioner exam as well in 1 hit (ie just after Foundation training and assuming you pass Foundation exam). Otherwise if you leave it later then you will forget all those PRINCE2 methodologies (very boring read) and you have to relearn it ... Good luck.

Thanks for the tip. I am now at a level in the organisation where I am putting project proposals together. A member of senior management has suggested I do the training. It probably won't be until next year, but I won't let her forget her offer. :)

If that is the case, then definitely take up the offer and go for the Foundation and Practitioner exam. You can find lots of training organisations offering both Foundation and Practitioner training and exams within 5 day training period. Given you are putting project proposals together then it would be great to have knowledge of PRINCE2 methodologies as it is quite relevant.

I appreciate the advice. I will definitely keep pushing my name up the list as best I can.

Psst, VA will be doing a Bathurst flyover, don't panic folks.

Has anyone any experience with PRINCE2 project management? I have had my name put forward for a training course.

I have Foundation and Practitioner. Did a 5 day training class, with the Foundation exam occurring on day 3 and the Practitioner exam on Day 5.

Even though I don't use it (not relevant to my current role), it's still handy to have if you are doing project management.

I didn't find it too hard really. Just understand the concepts and understand how they want you to answer questions according to their methodology and the exam should be simple enough.

Does anyone here know if there was passengers on that plane?
Would have been a great opportunity for VA to do a "charity run" say for kids to have a flight.

Something different, TCAS Initiated go around mid final for 16R at SYD, nice view as we buzzed La Perouse

A solo pilot was killed in Adelaide the other day, practising his aerobatics.

I'd like to know the stats on plane crashes occurring during air shows. Given their relative infrequency I'd say the stats would be damming.

Qantas still thinks I'm a W....r ;)

Sometimes even Qantas gets it right. :p

Nil PAX......the flight number was VA9901 ......... worth checking out flight radar 24 for the flight path ..... both the pattern while holding off N.W.of Bathurst ... the slight divert on route from the holding area to ensure appearing right on cue .....and then actually over the Bathurst event ..........
