My wardrobe is anything but simple, I like to think that my life is relatively simple though :)

My mum says to me that I need more wardrobe space.

On the left of cupboard 1 is all my fire service gear. On the right is my work uniforms. On shelves I have a variety of band shirts in a huge variety of black.

Cupboard 2 has jackets & various hockey jerseys on the left. Jeans & cargo pants go on the right.

I'm living in my $20 snow shoes that I bought at Woolies. I regret not buying more. Most comfortable shoes that I can wear in a variety of conditions & environments that I've ever had.

Can't be too simple if you are going through 20 pairs of shoes and not one of them matches your outfit. ;)

But then a woman's definition of simple is not necessarily the same as my definition of simple. :p

My wardrobe is definitely not simple.
My life is because in my example above I had chosen an outfit, no shoes to match. I went out that day and bought matching shoes and the entire process took 20 minutes including driving time as I already knew which shoes I needed and the shop that sold them, it was simple ;)

Which gets back to my original comment.

Not sure which hotel, but $9 for a litre of Evian seems excessive.

I'm too scared to go to the grammar thread but Jacqui lambie must be in for some sort of award for this one-

But that would be the perfect place for it.

Psst, drron! I think Lambie should have a capital L.
(Don't worry, I won't tell anyone). ;)

Upmarket hotel in Melbourne. Hotel bar.

Light beer : $7.

Glass of milk for child: $6.

Ouch.

Water at the Hyatt in Phoenix was only $5 US so I had not realized that was such a bargain.
We have 28 bottles of water from Ralph's for $3.99 US so I guess the Hyatt makes a modest profit on their water sales.

Is it possible to tell from that sentence exactly what she meant?

(I do know what she meant as I've been following the news, but that sentence is just amazing)

What is more amazing is that this woman has some control over Federal Legislation.

What have we come to. Sad times. And I suspect a sentiment felt by both sides in Parliament as while there are political differences between left and right, this woman is a whole new and awful world.

I'm not sure how widely the story I'm about to mention has made it outside of Sydney but over the weekend, a new born baby was found down a drain.

Originally the mother's age was reported as 20 but it has been revealed now that she's 30. It was thought that the baby was recently put in the drain but it is reported that he was there for a few days.

Obviously I've never been in the position of being a parental unit (even though I feel like one now but in reverse roles) & I can't imagine what human being thinks that it is a good idea to put a new born baby in a drain. It's 2014 - there are many places where the baby could have been safely left other than down a drain.

Hopefully the baby has no after effects & is cared for by people who want him. Thank your deity of choice that the passing cyclists heard the baby cry & helped rescue him.

There are a lot of angry people commenting online about this story & I can't say that I blame them.

An arrest has been made with the charge of attempted murder.

That was on the news in MEL last night. Disgraceful really.

It is pretty much headlines here too in SA. Its an appalling story. The best outcome for all would be a diagnosis of severe pre/post natal depression. Somehow the child has to have some kind of perspective on why he was dumped down a drain and left to die by his mother. A mental illness would help him rationalise, a little, as to why she did that.
