Pushka, all facets of the media are terribly unreliable. Much information is fabricated, manipulated, distorted or just plain wrong - and often deliberately so. More than most people could possibly imagine. The rest is researched and compiled by idiots. Expert commentators are often anything but - so god help anyone who listens to the likes of Kochie for financial advice. Sometimes supposed overnight movements in gold, currency or oil etc. are based on prices which are 2 -3 days old, making them absolutely useless. Worst of all there is often an agenda intended to manipulate public opinion, financial markets etc. so the information they put out often isn't truthful at all.
In any matter that matters materially to me my default position is not to take much notice of anything in the media that cannot be independently corroborated.
