Wait, aren't all tinshed residents on at least 200k/pa? /s
Only if you watch the american real estate shows.

Him: Im a potato carver at a nearby starbucks and my wife makes dream catchers with her hair and our house budget is $2.8 million.

I don't understand what people expect of those in parliament. There's only one reason they are there. To make a difference. For them. Not us. It's a very simple concept.

If he didnt stand on a soapbox about "traditional marriage" only being allowed for his like minded kind because they hold such a high standard of morals I would have been meh about this whole thing.

But because he shoved his traditional, hetro sexual superiority out there, he deserves the pox on his house. He created this, he has no one else to blame but himself.

Again, I think that's being a bit unfair. During the same-sex-marriage debate, he said several times that his marriage was broken down, and that he wasn't a good example of traditional marriage. It was on the ABC news here in Tas, so I assume broadcast pretty widely. I don't think he shoved his "hetero sexual superiority" on anyone who chose not to listen to him via a media outlet (I didn't). But if its put that way, I think all sides were shoving their sexual preferences down the throats of the public# and I haven't heard it claimed that the Gay community are, in general, any more 'faithful' in relationships than the hetero community.

Yes, he created his present situation, and I don't have much sympathy for him, but lets keep it in perspective.

If anyone wants to shine the light on hypocrisy, try the Greens - how they live, how they travel, how they accept donations etc etc Vs what their statements and so on say.

# And lets not quote Rex Mossop here :)

Oh, and of course the greatest hypocrites of all are those in the media, passing judgement on the pollies.

Joyce,
Joyce told attendees at an anti-marriage equality rally (organised by the Australian Christian Lobby and the Australian Family Association) that same-sex marriage would negatively affect his four daughters.

"We know that the best protection for those girls is that they get themselves into a secure relationship with a loving husband," he said, "and I want that to happen for them. I don't want any legislator to take that right away from me."

Oh, and of course the greatest hypocrites of all are those in the media, passing judgement on the pollies.

I thought that was Bob Geldof and Bono. You know, the guys lecturing us to pay more to help those that have less than while they move their music publishing off shore and fly private jets/first class everywhere.

Well! If we are talking international hypocrites, yes, they are right up there. Bono, at least, not just publishing off shore, but moving to a tax sheltering country. I knew we'd soon find common ground :).

Got heaps of flack for the Indian wedding attire the family wore.

And with the good news-steady rain in Burnie today.I am sure Steady will be happy.

What the hell is he talking about, "fighting for the people in the weatherboard and iron".

He lives rent free on a parliament salary, diddling the staff.

Ah no, he's talking about moving to the back bench and having to survive on the meager wages of only $200K plus allowances that the "normal battlers' have to live on. He said last week he was not sure if how would survive on such meager pay. Guess that's why he has to be helped out by friends with free apartments.

BARNABY'S BABY...and the rest

You won’t hear much from Labor and the Greens about Barnaby Joyce’s extra marital affair.

Labor...
Bill Shorten - had an extra-marital affair with cute blonde Chloe Bryce 10 years ago - and got Ms Bryce pregnant while both were still married.

Tony Burke - had an affair with office staffer Skye Laris while married to Cathy Bresnan with kids.

Bob Hawke - had an affair with Blanch d’Alpuget while married to Hazel - while he was PM.

Greens
Nick McKim - had an affair with married staffer Cassy O’Connor while her husband artist was at home keeping the home fires burning and raising their 4 kids. McKim’s affair ended up breaking up the young family.

There are lot of shout-outs that Barnaby Joyce should resign.

Yet, Shorten, Burke and McKim are still there.

If we apply the ‘resign’ principle to all of parliament – and the press gallery – Canberra would be a ghost town.

Oh, my! mrs.dr.ron. Oh, goodness! But its only conservatives who are made out to be hypocrites and wicked here.

Tell me .. did we hear any of that from certain people on AFF, or indeed the media at the time?

Oh MrsDrRon - you're being partisan again. What about Prince Phillip, Queen Victoria and Diana, Malcolm, Billy Hughes, Harold Holt not to forget Sir Henry Parkes, Wellington...

You can't justify current actions by claiming everyone else is doing it.

Did you read this line.

Yet, Shorten, Burke and McKim are still there.
All still in the current Parliament. Two party Leaders and one on the front bench.Yes you can't justify current actions ie Joyce resigning when there is no call for the others to resign.Unless of course you are being partisan.

So go into the Coles in Burnie. It isn't the best Coles store by a long way.But this time the only fruit displayed-apples,bananas and berries. Also no capsicums or chillis.
Think to myself how bad can it get.At the checkout the woman is telling all customers they had to remove nearly all fruit because of the latest fruit fly scare.A nectarine in a supermarket in Devonport was found to have fruit fly larvae.Came through a Victorian company which fumigates fruit for fruit fly.Any stock from there removed and destroyed.
Dashed Victorians.

Well I’ve said before that it’s irrelevant the colour of their tie, they are all hypocrites.
