When I’m on time the bus is late and when I’m late the bus is on time.

I sometimes used to catch the L90 (that route now called something else. But I was always amazed how many were unconscious (being a 0645 from Wynyard) but would miraculously wake up at exactly the right stop at Warringah Mall
Story of my life. The train/bus I just miss is early and the next one is delayed/cancelled.

I fell asleep on the train once on the way to Bathurst and luckily I woke up at Blaney. A couple of hours until next train. Lucky there was another service. Taxi to Bathurst would have expensive for 19 year old in those days.

aside form the Big Red tourist variety, I couldn’t tell you the last rime I rode in a bus.
I find the stop start nature of the ride to be rather uncomfortable and tedious.
I do like the occasional train journey though.

Geez that was a long time ago.
When I used to live in Lithgow, I ended up in Bathurst a couple of times. Not long after that the trains terminated at Lithgow but some terminated earlier. I remember as a teen when the train terminated in Katoomba and got a free cab ride to Lithgow.

Anyone got life insurance covering more than the value of their debts?

I couldn’t affor the premiums for that much. Lol. Seriously though, life cover is comparatively cheap, it’s the other insurances you need to be looking at.

Currently looking at Life/TPD and also IP.
Bank wants a piece of the action.
Currently Life/TPD covers 2x debts which protects the house from being sold from under the survivors

Bank say easier to have one provider of loans, insurance, super. I say you gotta be kidding

What’s mortgage plus?

Another box of goodies for the Salvos... How did I end up with about 10 rain jackets? Only two ever worn.

Might send one to Buzzard for wine trip prizes as it has company logo and people generally like free stuff with logos :)

Reminds me of clear out and I found 4 Drizabones, brother and nephews loved those (all tradies, good winter jackets).

Well I’m happy to give (off air) no obligation information on alternatives. You can then see someone local to unless you already have an adviser, in which case you don’t need me.
Banks try it on, but too much pressure is third line forcing, and that’s illegal.
Feel free to PM.

The content is free. Yes inane, trivial, elicit a response?. Maybe but I don’t like talking to myself and eliciting a response from my reflection.

That’s ok thanks but not required. :)
I asked this question of a close colleague and he does not have any debts but has substantial Life/TPD. He says he is worth more to his spouse dead but reckons as he is still living there must be still be some goodwill.

Well, no, actually. While staying within the comments from mods above, this is fundamentally a travel and flight forum. IMHO these posts are relavent to travel and places and items of general interest to others and contribute to the variety of the travel experience. A pic of the sunset arriving back in BNE on an EK flight is equally relevant.

The occasional quote or feeling seems fine in the OTT forum. Many posts with seemingly random thoughts related to just the OP, in an excessive manner, does seem something that should more be on Twitter.

Yeah. My husband sometimes jokes about how much $ there will be if he's gone but same answer each time, I prefer to have him.

Not that I don't think about it occasionally :D

I really should get a scooter, never bothered to get my bike license, and whenever I see a tourist riding one (somewhere safe that is), I think, I'd like to do that!

Mrs Cossie has said she would be game to get on the back, but you need your license for a few years before you can take pillions, I believe.

Mind you she is a little reticent about bikes, about 20 years ago she went into work (ICU) and didn't recognise that her patient for the day was one of my sisters. Once she realised, of course she was moved to another patient.
My sister had been riding pillion, the dropkick rider overtook a car on on a blind bend and sideswiped a truck, my sister now permanently resides in a nursing home and is minus her right leg as well as having a severe brain injury.
Agree on the removal of Mrs Cossie from looking after your sister, makes sense to not have emotion possibly being a factor in her care. Terrible outcome for your sister, I hope she has good care. I trust he got what was coming to him because your sisters injury was an unintended consequence of his poor decision making.
