Had an interesting chat with two of her friends who said they drank, but when it was spelled out that alcohol wasn’t allowed (I had it on the invites), they were happy to comply.

:)

A lot get around it by preloading - and arrive pretty much drunk.
At one of the parties Miss QS went to one of the boys turned up with a backpack - not unusual. But it had a Camel backpack hydration system - one of those with a bladder in the backpack and tube coming out. Apparently it was filled with vodka

yeah - they are very sneaky. I think they knew we were the parents from hell, so no one tried anything - or arrived drunk.

For her 18th alcohol was allowed but people had been pre warned that anyone getting drunk (as opposed to drinking and enjoying themselves), would be driven home. We had around 80 kids at our parties, but they were a pretty good bunch and we never had any problems. I think it was a bit self selecting - because they knew we were vigilant and took no nonsense the trouble makers didn’t come.

We had an afters party after Ms FM’s year 10 formal and initially it was a bit thin on numbers, but after an hour or so quite a few kids who had gone to the “cool” parties phoned up and asked if the could still come to ours as they weren’t really enjoying the other one.

If a person is deficient in a particular nutrient then I think supplements are indicated. Seems that your either your wife's diet is lacking in something or her metabolism is doing something odd.
And to try to figure out either would be time consuming and costly.

Oh dear. That will rumple @TheRealTMA. Let’s keep updating here as Labour progresses. <evil grin>

We are in Venice when the Royal Wedding is on.
I thought when we get to immigration in Scotland next week that we should say we are only here for the Royal Wedding. That is to avoid it.

And it’s Labor not Labour. :)

Actually we’re in Spain for the wedding so it will be a non event.

Pool parties were the rage when the kids were in Primary School. Until one party where the parent went inside to answer the phone. A child died. The family were well known and really nice but they just couldn’t deal with the guilt and they moved away. Sad story for all.

What a horrible accident for all involved
