Glad there were no delays out of CNS this morning.

That said - it was the bumpiest takeoff I can remember.....

Oh and some whiny woman in 1A complaining about no newspapers as the road was flooded so truck couldn't get through by 5am.

Same woman who felt the "stow TV set" didn't apply to her on landing.

I was a good boy this morning. Been hammered over the last 12 months in various "things" over human factors.

Have been asked of me multiple times. 'We can't do anything about them totally failing to read because it is human factors.' "Don't you know about human factors?" "Have you done the [3 day] training?" Eventually, answered that second question by mentioning a postgrad semester studying about human factors.

Anyway, new project this morning and a whole heap of issues are listed followed by "but we can't make these part of the project." Restrained myself from saying those are all issues that can be label human factors and as such we can address them.

I'm now the owner of a new Mazda3 (yes, like every second Australian). We looked at VWs, Toyotas, Subarus and Hondas, but none could match the features and value. The base model has cruise control and Bluetooth to go along with the 2 litre automatic. The drive away price was $22,990. I added parking sensors, tinted windows and mats, which nominally came to $24,200. I said "thanks" and went to walk out with the quote, saying that I had all day and would talk to other dealers. After much bargaining, and me getting up to go a couple more times, I got it for $23,200. Sensational value. ;)

All on a 1.5:1 amex I hope :lol::lol::lol:

Some days are just not meant to be.

Walked outside this morning and it was raining. I quickly thought that if I went back upstairs and got the umbrella it would take ~5 minutes and I will miss the train. So I walked in the rain down to Roma St Station and got soaked. As I got undercover the rain stopped and the train was ~7 minutes late!

What would you do? I know that if went back upstairs to get the umbrella the rain would have stopped and I would have missed the train. ;) So faced with another NO WIN situation I made the wrong decision....

.. I made the wrong decision....
The wrong decision was surely not looking out a window before you went downstairs :) :p

Forecasts are good. Sometimes they have a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

Not afraid of getting wet. Just hate sitting, soaking wet, in an airconditioned office and desk fans blowing cool drafts my way.

Not wanting to be negative but I guess the deal depends if is a 2012 plate, an undriven demo etc. Being the end of the month there are quite a few online deals out there

Another week in China nearly finished. The place, and more importantly the people never fail to astonish me.

Speaking of drive, any suggestions on price/where to buy an external hard drive to be used as a backup drive (for MacBook). Mac has 750gb hard drive so assume I'd need minimum 1tb or 1.5tb drive.

Dick smith looked around the $120-$140 mark for 1tb and 2tb (not much difference between them).

That is very sad. No wonder the education system is failing many people.

I was quite surprised that in talking about this at work today, only the very level headed former high school maths teacher was not horrified at there being a calculator in a grade 1 booklist.
