Yes, our local supermarket had a sign that said if you broke the stems off, the price would be more. There was a time my local Coles would charge your a higher per Kg rate if you bought the heads only and left the stalks.

Remember when smaller and tiny was all the rage with mobile phones? The Ette keeps her last tiny Samsung apparently cause it's cute:
My how things have changed!

Our local growers market resorted to signs telling people not to snap off the stems-I thought it was a bit sad that they had to resort to thatI always try to snap off the stems. Sometimes I can't, but F paying for that.
Mrs RB used to compete in the Ekka horse events & always came home impressed with the showEkka day in BNE tomorrow, and we're off to the Ekka. Have had a deal with the kidlet since she started primary school that we would go to her school fair when it's on, and then to the Ekka in the non-fair years. This is a non-fair year.
She is very excited and has made Big Plans to meet up with some of her besties and ride rides together, share sample bag booty and generally have fun. It's lonely being an only child stuck with your parents so much.
I've also realised we may have one or two more trips to the Ekka with her as a child, as soon enough she'll be a teenager and going with her friends, and not want to be near us!! What a rite of passage, eh?
How about the big stalks of a pear? I'm not paying for that either.I always try to snap off the stems. Sometimes I can't, but F paying for that.

We also have a rotating Ekka regime, lucky for us (me) this year is the no Ekka alternate. It's Dallas, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and NYC instead
A cornerstone of this is the recent appointment of Australian Mark Ross-Smith – a loyalty consultant and champion of ‘big data’ – to head the Loyalty & Enrich portfolio.
Thank goodness my kids grew out of shows when they were 12.
The kids aren't the issue. SWMBO loves the Ekka
Oh. Just oh. I wonder if it's better than our Royal Adelaide Show. It must be.

Flip open to answer and flip shut to end calls; it worked for her.
I have been tasked with replacing and it pricing a pain as she can't handle touch screens.
There are large button devices around but they seem such a profiteering avenue and I'm reluctant to feed the beast.
