The Velocity Status Run Master thread

I wonder if it is done based off past searches? I got Adelaide, Hobart and Bali all of which I have searched in the past six months.

I might partially agree to that thought as I was searching for deals from MEL to DPS and also booked flights for MEL - ADL and MEL - CNS in the past 3 months. However there are other sectors in my offer that I don't remember to have searched any time.

Hello Everyone,

first time poster on here :) loving the conversations here.

I require 189SC to maintain gold before 4th of June 2020 i am from Ex SYD any ideas?

Cheers.

DSC never came and I assume isn't likely until after the current offer expires on March 16th? I have a few things to book but may not be able to hold off too much longer, possibly the difference between gold and platinum.

Sale on at the moment - I haven’t checked all flights but Syd to Mel: 50 SC for $399 Business Saver. Good availability.

Don't feel bad - I had no idea either!
I'd thought if VA wanted $$ from it's FF, they would send an email to it's FF if there is a DSC :S

anyways, planning to do a SC run ... got some interstate trips coming up .. might as well book during DSC and if there is border closures, hopefully get credit from VA with the DSC intact ...

So, the inevitable question now - SC run recommendations please :)

Currently VA Gold with 100 SC obtained through the Discover Gold thingy, so need 900 SC to get VA Platinum. I have not got absolutely no use with VA Plat. I have a QF Plat and I only do a couple of flights each month anyways ... But if there is a DSC, I wouldn't mind flying ... only if it's economical as well ...

I have paid for a tour in Tassie this december, from 22/12 till 30/12. The tour starts at HBA. I live in CBR and I'm picking up a friend from SYD to be part of the tour.

So, I was thinking, I could do CBR-BNE-OOL-SYD-MEL-HBA-MEL-SYD-OOL-BNE-CBR. This trip comes to around $1800 for 1000 SC, approx $2/SC ..

any other suggestions? What's everyone else thinking?

Out of CBR, I've been looking at CBR-MEL-ADL-MEL-CBR in Business Saver. Earns 400 SC with DSCs for ~$527 using one of the promo codes. Do this 2.5 times and you have 1000SC for ~$1,320.

@Ade there's nothing wrong with your run though, that's still a very good SC return and actually gets you to where you need to go.
