The Velocity Status Run Master thread

Guys,

I've jsut had to restore a backup of the spreadsheet as someone screwed up the order/A# allocations etc. and deleted the old A47...

If you reorder or filter the sheet please put it back the way you found it.
If you are making a legitimate change (like removing an expired or incorrect run) please note it in the change log tab so I know it's legit.

I can tell who makes the changes so if people keep breaking it I'll be forced to remove their edit access... (they can still read)

Cheers

Yes, I would agree with drewbles on this. I don't understand why the link has been posted.

It's very likely some people are not that au fait with spreadsheets and sorting etc. For example, if you select/highlight a column and then sort it, then it sorts that columns disconnected for the other columns and therefore, rows within each column will no longer relate to the correct record. A SharePoint "List" would be a far better tool than a Spread sheet in this instance, however, I'm not really aware any sites where we could set one up for free. (Perhaps the "Named and Protected Ranges" feature in Google spreadsheet under the Data Menu may help facilitate this). I wonder if the Google "Forms" feature would be of much use.

It looks like the data is still not sorted correctly. E.g. I added two comments on 24-Feb, and both should relate to A9 and A10, however the A9 comment is now against the A44 record.

I suggest you remove that link, as it kind of gives away the game :P

Agree.

Ah... what you need to do is turn on the "Filter" feature under the Data menu. Then if people want to sort the records, they use the drop down arrow in the headings in Row 1. This then makes sure the whole table is sorted together and all records stay intact.

... and deleted the old A47...

I moved A47 to Archive because it's been spotted and killed in the booking system.

I also moved B30. B31 is still showing as available in mid-to-late Jan on selected dates (see note).

Not sure who changed the order of the sheets though.

Please delete :)

Guys

I like to apologise for inadvertently posting the link revealing the location of the good value run. It was one of the '5:30 pm hurry up & leave the office' moments. For the time it was live for about 2.5hrs, hopefully there was no direct action from that.

Although sadly, its does appear that the deal is now gone

You know what... s%#t happens.... considering I was the first (I think) on this forum to find A47 just don't assume that only the people on this forum knew about. I have many friends and relatives.... ( and unfortunately they are all coming to A47 now) There were only so many flights with so many seats and I noticed over the past week or so that they where quickly disappearing.

But I was just thinking, maybe depending on the dates you are planning to visit A47 and assuming you will be staying for a few days... just maybe we should get together either at the lounge or on the beach. Yes there is a beach at A47. Not giving away too much I hope. Not sure my wife would appreciate it considering we looked at A47 (before it was called A47). We are going for 1 week for our 28th wedding anniversary. Actually thanks to my wife I did find these flights as we had already booked accommodation at A47 before I booked the flights and I was going to book the flights with another airline when my wife suggested we look at the rewards flights. Luckily for us we did.. safe travel everyone. OK this is too much it's Bondi....

And a BIG thank you to Bolthead, for being kind enough to share your find with all of us!

I will also second the comment that there is no way that pmdg's comment 'ended' the deal :)

They have all been getting booked over the last few days, and I have also noticed them slowly drying up!

All the best to everyone on their trips! :)

Good idea! It's pretty likely at least some of us will be on the same flights :)

Seconded :)

May 3rd for me! Taking my father for his birthday :)

Positioning that morning ex OOL

May the 4th be with you! ;)

I'm the day after dzinh. Might stay the night in Syd. 6am doesn't sound like fun.

Can anyone confirm SG/WP lounge access on both legs of this one? (It seems like lounge at departure outbound, lounge at mid way inbound, but no other lounges?)

thats my understanding re lounge access as well... Could always try and get into the koru club on the outbound at AKL.

See you in the lounge ;)

Why so early?

I don't want to push it, being sydney and all. We should be at T1 from 8-8:30AM, clear customs hopefully by 9 then try to relax in Koru club for a bit. There's the option of Syd overnight as BrentH stated but that still needs thinking. :)

It will be a long day of flying for all who's off to -A47. Especially guys doing a turn around as LiamR

i'm hoping that they will agree to flying ahead on the way back - wasnt sure that the turnaround time was enough so booked coming back next day
