The Velocity Status Run Master thread

On the SE coast an MEL/OOL via SYD round trip and vv can earn a base 80 SC's for $525 in flexi. (40 for $290 with saver-lite)

I need 60sc to retain gold and have never done a status run on VA. Thinking maybe MEL-OOL via Syd, if I did Flexi one way and Saver lite the other, that'd get me what I need?

Mel-CNS return on flexis both ways would give you 60 as well. Don't know what the price comparison is. Also get a cheaper option to use points to upgrade to J and enjoy J on a longer flight.

I don't think my 3000 points will get me far :p but will look into CNS, thanks.

the thing is, there is a level of competition at OOL, see discount code thread.

For late April the cheapest MEL-BNE flexi is $349, MEL-OOL is$235 & MEL-xSYD-OOL is $261.

The former two earn 30 SC's, the latter 40 SC's.

Would Mel-BNE-sin-HKT and return on flexi fare equate to 180 sc when booked with virgin or am I misinterpreting the status credit amounts again. (Using the interactive flight map and points table)

its coming in around $1400 as a flexi ... I do have 62,000pts if there's a better option? I thought Brisbane first as it appears to give max SC as opposed to the SYD/PER options?

I'm in need of 40sc and am looking at MEL-SYD-OOL for about $280. Is that good value?

For a flexi its reasobable, as mentioned above at the end of the month its a little cheaper again. You could try the code BWX59 as it may work (not guaranteed) to help reduce that fare a little bit :)

Actually for a flexi that would be extremely cheap, given those are generally over $520 r/t for the route via SYD.

I would suggest it's a saver-light which would indeed earn 40 SC's.

Flexi one way was about $250-260 so $520 return is dead on.

good luck, i requested access ages ago :( *sniff*

If you refer to post #945, the spreadsheet is really of little assistance these days with most runs out of date. There is also a minimum post/join date requirement for access.

As you can see in the recent posts, when a member finds a decent price on a run, they're openly posted.

I would suggest you read some more and join in with some posting, and that way, if this thread ever goes "off" again, you'll be eligible for access.
