Vienna this morning. A lovely, sunny day. A walking tour this morning but using the metro into the old town.

Now I have to find out how two AFFers who are once again docked together can meet? 6:00pm at the park benches by Jewel’s bow?

Blast! Didn’t check AFF yesterday. We are still in Vienna today (Monday), but not much chance. We have “All Aboard” at 16:45, departing at 17:00.

Will you be in Budapest tomorrow? We will dock there at Infopark.

@Port Power, I just saw Vidar leaving. Only Budapest left now for a chance to meet.

Two days in Budapest before continuing on to Bucharest. We have a morning walking tour but the afternoon free. The afternoon Hungarian horse show I paid for will be refunded as it is an included tour on the next leg.

If there is an opportunity at midday, I can stand outside somewhere. No “rose in the buttonhole” available for identification unfortunately, but I wear a blue denim jacket. Carol

Jewel has been delayed at the locks overnight. Our morning tours will now be 10:30 to 14:00, then lunch.

Viking has its own docks near the Elisabeth Bridge on the Pest side, if I remember correctly. Jewel will be at Infopark, further South on the Buda side. We want to visit the City Markets in the afternoon. Could we meet at the main Market entrance at 4 pm? That is about 10 minutes walk from where I think Vidar will be docked.

Look for an orange puffer jacket.

Well, two AFFers did manage to meet! After the castle precinct tour in Buda we were waiting for our bus, and a Scenic Jewel bus was already there. I jumped aboard and called out “Is jxv here?” Bus 3 of probably 5, but he was! So Geelong and Perth met in Buda! It really was an amazing stroke of luck.

Viking Vidar left Passau 15 minutes before Scenic Jewel, but we also had to wait at the same loch for well over an hour last night, if not two hours.

I’ll go to the market anyway, as I always intended to. Perhaps some hot paprika for my son?
