Hoadleys was polly waffles and also violet crumble. But it was taken over by Rowntrees in 1972 who were in turn taken over by nestle in 1988. They discontinued them in 2008.
However this year the polly waffle is due to return with Menz obtaining a licence from Nestle to manufacture them. They are the producers of fruchocs.

We only spent two nights there after getting off the car ferry at Picton and used it as a base to drive out to the Abel Tasman Park for a walk alongside Tasman Bay. It was around whitebait season so we had a fresh whitebait omelette at a pub there.

Just to prove how seriously they take earthquakes in NZ this was on a children's castle at Tahunanui Beach. In Google street view from September 2022 the warning seems to have disappeared. But it seems as though any access to the inside of the castle has been firmly blocked.

Avalon Air Show

Wanted to be at the show very badly. Would've been the first air show for me ... But work keeps me in ADL & CBR this weekend. Some of my colleagues are going to the AVV show .. not me
