The view from my "office"

re: The view from my "office"

View from our office this morning (I think I answered one work related email!).. Zermatt Switzerland from our balcony at the Omnia hotel :)DSC_0464_1.jpg

They're both very cute, but which one is she?

If it tell her you said this she is likely to say "I'm not your best friend anymore!!!"

She was balancing on my right hip while I took the photo - not a trivial exercise let me tell you. :D

Recently had several hours with this view.

I never get sick of orchids. Mum has quite a few at home. She has a smile from ear to ear when they are in season. Wish I could learn the secret.

And the views of the glaciers were again spectacular! Glad we came here for my birthday :)

On a drive west through the mountains yesterday, to my other office:

A valley foggy start:

Trees just starting to turn; only yellows so far (this is a view from my office :) )

Stop for a stretch and view across to Banff on the way back.

From today's lunch-time walk - the City of Calgary has re-developed a section of river shore. And just like city authorities everywhere, they find ways to waste tax/ratepayer's money such as this lighting thing. I hope that the birds can at least roost in it.

With apologies to A.B. Paterson:

And I somehow fancy that I’d like to change with RooFlyer,
Like to take a turn at driving where the seasons come and go,
While he faced the round eternal of the cashbook and the journal —
But I doubt he’d suit the office, RooFlyer, of “The Trans-Canada Highway”.
