The view from my "office"

My first attempt at Rose garden. Went from 21 Roses (7 in each bed) to 24 roses (8 in each bed) and in the end bought 30 roses and doubled up on some of them. See how many plants are successful and how many are left in December.

We have spotted the “frog on the skull” in the decoration above the doors, with a little bit of help. You need to know what to look for, as the frog is not all that well defined.

The house of the shells. One tale talks about a connection with Santiago (Saint James), whose symbol is a shell, another mentions it has something to do with a marriage between two influential families.

Cielo de Salamanca is a depiction of the night sky on a ceiling of the university library painted around 1475. A restauration was done in the 1950’s.

Carcassone

Hopefully they've totally removed the 'art' that was on show :confused: when I visited a few years ago - one of those things that makes sense viewed from a certain angle. Obviously this wasn't it.
