Little Island over on the Hudson right next to Chelsea Markets. Was drizzly when I was there but the area was quite interesting to wander around, on a sunny day would be a spectacular space.

Ibis Mascot, Sydney. Surprisingly good sized room for an Ibis. Thought I had a photo of the room but can't find it.

Plenty of parking on side street to avoid the $25 parking fee but also car park next door and another across the road.

i thought the name sounded familiar and can see I booked it for an overnight just before Christmas. Cost £179.

That sounds more reasonable than the page I looked at.

Had me worried for a bit until I checked mine.

Not always that expensive.
I either book on points or Govt rate at around £220

Looking at this now - was able to get some around the GBP220-280 range ... I know someone who is planning on staying there for 2 nights next week.

Thanks! I have made a note for next time I visit NYC, but a visit there or to the USA in general is currently not high on my priority list.

Not sure how many times I've been past Novotel, Brighton Beach but finally stayed there last weekend. Under renovation but still impressed with the room.

And as a Gold given a bottle of red wine.

First day of school holidays in Perth so it was Grandparents duty to head off to an indoor playground. This is almost aviation related as the premises, Lollipops Playland, is on Jandakot Airport land. Building on Commonwealth land used to enable companies to avoid some local rules and costs I am not sure if that is still the case.

It truly is. One of the best rooms we've had in our travels to date.

The view from my mobile office for the next two weeks. This morning, Jablaniča River, Bosnia-Herzegovina. The scenery along the route between Split and Sarajevo is just so beautiful. (č = “ch” as in cherry.)



This restaurant is on the road in the middle of nowhere, like a truck stop but far more beautiful. Water wheels turn the rotisseries. It takes 3 hours to cook the lambs.
