The view from my "office"

Not quite sure why I haven't received notifications of new posts here.......... but I've been busy the past few days anyway. @RooFlyer - parking in Bosnia is a doddle Most of the time we parked on the side of the road with bags etc. in the car and had no worries at all.

So first up.... Kavica Waterfall and Pocitelj.

@Cossie - new wheels for you?

Then onto Blagaj......... this was the calm before the storm. Unfortunately won't let me post video but the sheets of rain that came through after this and the fact I got massively soaked head to toe even with my Goretex gear tells the real picture!

Then onto Mostar, this time by evening which even after my 4 days there in August I never saw as it got dark late.

The town was completely dead compared to 2.5 months ago.

Then our next office was Visegrad, via Sarajevo. While I had been to Sarajevo back in August, Mrs FB hadn't so I thought it wasn't fair for her to miss out. But after that wow, Visegrad is a really cool place. Tiny little town, but very scenic and tourists come in and out. We were the only ones who actually stayed overnight. Really friendly people and again a really cheap meal. I had a massive meat platter (350g) for $10.

The nationality I've still seen the most in Bosnia, is Australian. It seems like Australia has discovered it, but other nationalities haven't.......

Now that we're finally caught up..... today we drove from Visegrad to Kotor (in Montenegro). We had a bit of a decision to make, the quicker/easier border crossing had realllllllllly bad reviews, including prompts for bribes. We decided to route around it instead. Good choice, easy crossing and some fun driving - it only added 45 minutes. We had a chat with this guy in a pretty remote place (Bileća) and he loved that I was an Aussie, he said the animals there will kill you. We had a good laugh and carried on our way.

Finally.... after Bileća it was across the border (very simple, must easier than the other potential option) and into Kotor via Perast. For the sake of @Pushka there was a Viking cruise ship in the bay - nice view from our balcony apartment. It finally buggered off at 9pm ;)

I spent a couple of days without notifications too. I read new posts from the ”bell” list. A weird IT glitch, I suspect. ❓❓ Back to normal now though, including the red number of new posts.

I have good memories of Coonabarabran. We lived at the Observatory from 1979 to 1983. I kept coming back for work after we moved away, even after I retired. Last time was in 2013. Good to see it still goes strong.
